Karen n Malik Engagement Set
Malik and Karen are fairly new friends of mine. They asked me to photograph their wedding and I told them it would be an honor. The wedding will be set at Hessel Park in Champaign, so with the date coming so quick, we met up Saturday afternoon at Crystal Lake Park for their Engagement Set. It’s been a pretty mild spring so far and Saturday was no different. The sun peeked out between the clouds and it was in the low 80′s, so we strolled from the boat house thru the park and had a great set. I can’t wait till the big day, with the rest of their family and all our friends celebrating true love… Enjoy ! ! !

I love my job. It’s couples like Crystal and Tim that remind me of what love is all about. As a photographer, they really made this shoot easy, as they melted into each others arms at every spot we tried. This happy couple will be Married in July and chose Allerton Park as the backdrop to their Engagement set. This spring has made it challenging to get our sets in and this day was no different than the rest, cloudy, blustery and eventually rainy. Early on we were blessed with a great start, the trees at the park blocked the wind, and the rain was holding back, so the adventure began. We worked our way to the Mansion and then followed the walkway around towards the Brick Garden. We were hoping to set some shots at the Sunken Garden, but a Wedding was in progress, the clouds were opening up a bit, so we headed to the Square Garden for a fun set. To wrap up the day, we headed over to the Steps by the Last Centaur and this is where the weather turned and the mosquito’s were unbearable. What a great adventure,,, Enjoy ! ! !

Wow, what a great day!!! Jamie, Bill n little Will and Teresa, Kevin n Amelia all met up at Kennekuk Park in Vermillion County May 18th for a great day in the park. I love this Family! We have shot so many sets now, I’m starting to feel like part of the Family. Kennekuk has a little town set up in the park, with a gazebo, school house, church, general store, a house with a big front porch and even a train station and passenger car, which makes for plenty of cool little spots to shoot some great sets. We just enjoyed a few hours and took turns, each Family finding great little spots, and then all sitting in for some great group shots. Thanks Again for another day and some fun in the sun,,, Enjoy ! ! !

Cassie and Josh will be married August, 2013 at Lake Shelbyville. For the engagement set we adventured north of Shelbyville to a local Vineyard for some great shots, then headed to the lake to check out the wedding venue and shoot some more pictures by the lake. The couple was referred by her Brother Cory, who I have had the honor of photographing their Family Pics three of the last four years, so I’m starting to feel like part of the Family.
